Your Story Could Be Here!

By clicking on the “Join us” button on the main Walking Inquiry webpage, you could share your story in response to the Walking Inquiry’s monthly questions. These responses can take many forms: a written response offering your comments and thoughts, a poem, a photograph, a brief video, artwork – almost anything you can imagine and upload here. All are welcome to participate, and no special expertise is required.

This form will be read by a small team of volunteers from the Refugee Tales community, including people with lived experience of detention, GDWG visitors, and walkers. If you give permission, your submission will be posted on our website as part of the Walking Inquiry (provided it does not include offensive or inappropriate content).

You can submit to the website anonymously if your prefer. If you would like to submit to the Walking Inquiry but do not wish your submission to be published on the website, we still welcome and appreciate your contribution.

Whether you decide to share your submission on our website or not, your contribution will form an important part of our Walking Inquiry’s findings. We value every response we receive and promise to take good care of anything you decide to share with the Refugee Tales community.

When submitting to the Walking Inquiry, please consider the consent of people you have spoken to. If your submission includes information about someone else, we will need to ask this person if they consent to their story being shared.
